Make T3 static Arties projectile arc flatter

Currently I am trying my hand at map editing, but I find that no matter how steep I make a cliff, a T3 arty lands shells at almost a 90° angle coming down making my cliffs useless for there intended purpose. Since I am not really a fan of T3 static arty and "game ender" super weapons, I would like to suggest a flatter arc so that maps can feature some "safety zones" with steep cliffs for buildings. Obviously the firing angle would determine how much space behind a cliff would be safe.

Feedback (pro or con) is welcome.

There are only 3 projectile 'arcs' available - NONE, Low and High.

The NONE is self explanatory, and the Low Arc is very low - typical of most direct fire weapons. The High Arc is used by all artillery weapons and is extremely sensitive to muzzle velocity. If the velocity is too low, the weapon will not reach it's maximum range, and that's really the crux of your issue. While lower velocity will give a more gentle curve to the flight of the projectile - it's almost vertical even then. I cannot find a solution that will flatten the arc to any significant degree.

you can modify the blueprints of the t3 arty or the arty projectile in the map script (make sure to upload the map as unrated or talk to a moderator about it being rated first!). As Spouto already said, there are only 3 different curves, but you can try to fiddle a bit with the muzzle velocity or the TurnRate of the projectile... just have a look at the blueprints.

Currently at work so cant post. Basically i set the starting elevation to 64 and the cliff height is at 90, so 26 high and top to bottom goes out 1 red square.
Arty hits right behind it. T3 shield bubbles are lower than the cliff. Pretty much a fail of an idea i had. What arc do t2 arties use? Is it low, because they shoot flatter i believe.

Yes morax i have. Most maps have no steep mountains. Should have little to no impact

All artillery units, mobile and static, use the High Arc. The only artillery units that would be affected by your cliff might be the T1 mobile artillery units, and simply because of their short range.

Maybe you could make some huge prop that looks like a overhanging cliff?
Not sure how well that would work though...
