Kennel/drones

could you make selection priority of drones above building? it is annoying when I need select few
units>drones>buildings

why Kennel cant control drones direcly (like Hive) ?

I want this, when I select Kennel and click assist a factory, then drones belong to the Kennel will immediately go to assist the factory ( when press stop they return to auto mod), I could select those drones and send them to build Fatty and when it is done they return to assist the factory

yeah its annoying thing that to select a drone you need to shift or manually click them, annoying. The fact they can fly anywhere is nice, SACU drones can do the same but build everything.

Might I suggest you get better at double clicking a drone? It truly would be annoying if I was trying to select a factory, or other combat units, and all I ended up with was a bunch of drones. Most of the time they are just ubiquitous build power and their selection priority is as it should be.

Of course giving the tower some ability to control the drone would be nice. Such as a select deployed drones button.

its hard to find or cvlick atleast one of them

Zoom out just to the point that you can see strategic icons, but are still pretty close. Click once on a drone, and then double click it. The click accuracy tolerance is higher when a unit is already selected.

First of all, I suggest you to stop building engineering stations (kennels) because they are least cost effective units in the current FAF patch. You are better off building more T1-T3 engineers or Cybran Hive Level 1 than UEF engineering stations. In addition, having more engineers is better because your build power can distributed over the map or centralized in one place. Engineering stations have usually centralized build power and UEF drones are vulnerable to air attacks.

Kennels have no pathfinding trouble which can be a massive advantage over engies later.

The chart is great though, even when its missing the fact that aeon/sera t3 engies are better than uef/cyb. And it is calculating the mass cost for hives wrong, thats why they look much worse to you than they are. Lvl 2 and 3 hive cost the same as lvl 1.


Giving orders with the kennel building would be nice indeed. But selection priority is always a double edged sword..if you want to select a building but you get drones instead i'd be annoying too, and i figure thats the reason why they have lower priority in the first place.

What i do now is to just select everything, and then find the drones in the list, thats easier for me than trying to find and select a drone.

Zock is right, kennels are better than engineers if you need to build somthing asap and get all the build force immidiantly, just a few seconds for them to fly to the building. Engineers just gonna move around buildings, move out of them, then again againagain slowing the building very much.
