Start any random spawn game and people with knowledge of the map know who is where with a single glance (F11).
It's lame, because if you don't know who is where you need to scoot and the other has the chance to surprise you. I guess I don't really have to argue that scooting is preferable to looking at F11 for intel. It kind of speaks for itself. So perhaps we could make random truly random. Player slot x in F11 shouldn't correspond with the slot y on the map, perhaps simply by jumbling the F11 menu (and any other methods of seeing this, like the show stats command maybe).
It's not a Setons only issue, where the random feature is commonly used. The principle applies universally, any random start, FFA in particular and also any future implementation of an automatic matchmaker would suffer I suppose.
