cant host or join game i get blak screen and cursor help

can anyone help I think I have same problem game give me black screen with cursor when I try to host or joing game someone please help

Hi, This post should be in the Tech Support forum.

If this is a fresh installation of Supreme Commander/Forged Alliance, then you need to first open it locally (not via Forged Alliance Forever) and create a player profile.

If that doesn't help, then post again, now in the Tech Support forum, with the needed log files (viewforum.php?f=3)

yeah we told him to start fa not faf and set preferences there but he couldn't understand that. " Start locally" blah blah is too technical for the average noob non computer pro is to understand, just as Softly's examples of easy simple things to fix would be completely baffling to 99% of readers.
