Choose your colour in ladder match.

It would be fun to have that option. I'm guessing there are a lot of things above it on the priority list.

You probably know the usual colour of common team game opponents / friends. Helps provide identity and identification, like the colour of your car. I honestly think colour helps foster community to some degree. Why not bring that to ladder?

Mostly it's just fun. I'd have a hard time believing that this hasn't been suggested before, but search brought up nothing. I'm guessing this is one of those things that would be nice, but it'sn't critical.

I think it's just that red and blue are the easiest for colorblind people to see apart, and possibly the nostalgia factor since it's been red vs blue since 2007

I really don't want colors like the dark blue on the ladder, in teamgames it's already super annoying to read the icons. Don't want to have that in a 1vs1 where you don't have time to try reading it.

What would you do if two picked the same colour? Who gets priority?

Doesn't have to be picked, just have 2 colours that people can read.

But the one who wants just easy colours can make friend ally enemy auto settings like in screenshot, they are blue red yellow and green. I like the idea of custom colours.

To exclude that two players get the same is easy since there are only 2 players. Every player has to chosea main and an alternative colour next to ladder buttons maybe inside the mapvote(settings for 1v1) and if they both have same main colour it will be a random dice and one of them will get alternative.
