A lot of people complain that bomber micro is hard, along with megabot micro and probably a few other units that I'm missing.
If there was a hotkey for "move backwards slightly" I think this would make the micro much more accessible. The idea is that it would add a move order just behind the unit so the unit would move backwards instead of turning around. Hitting the key repeatedly would keep the unit moving backwards, allowing for stop-bombing, multi-bombing, megabots facing one way while moving another, etc.
This might lead to fewer complaints or more complaints, but at least it would level the playing field. Hoverbombing et. al seems accepted as "fair," so I think it would be cool if more people could do it. Complainants could also practice, of course.
To be clear/read this before you flame: I'm not saying it's currently unfair or unbalanced, I'm not saying this is a problem I'm having, I'm not complaining, I'm not saying we shouldn't reward people for practicing micro. If this is something that would be fairly simple to implement, I feel like it would be cool to have. If it's hard, a pain, or if there's some deep philosophical hubbub I'm missing out on about how micro should only be a reward for those who put the time into practicing it, then by all means, ignore my suggestion.
