I've done that done of thing somewhere, I forgot where. Can't see it having an effect on cpu time (but the mod in general will).

Coding squirrel pointed out the logging is enabled, u should turn that off

Doing it without selection lock has another advantage:

If you have some units which have an assist and are locked, and some which have no command yet, you can get confused when assisted units die. If it were an automatic process, the units with dead assists would become unlocked automatically.

Anihilnine allowed me to upload my edit of the mod. It can be found under V4.1 in the vault (the naming got a little funky, sorry :D ).

New feature:
There is now a group of units called exotic assisters. They behave normally if not assisting but will be deselected when assisting. By default, the list contains all land scouts, shields and the stealth generator.

It also contains the changes suggested by CodingSquirrel here: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=9697&start=20#p124491

I'm responsible for the things I break, so please post any feedback.

About the weird naming: The server somehow wouldn't let me upload v5 and cuts off the '1' in 4.1. Maybe someone can help me tidy this up.

Just downloaded the V4.1.
Looks really helpfull. Thanks for the work.

But i am missing the assisting Mermaid to be deselected. Could that be added too?

Sure!

Just add the line
"xrs0205", --Mermaid
above the line
"url0306" --Deceiver
in SelectionDeprioritizer.lua under user/my documents/my games/gas powered games/Supreme Commander Forged Alliance/mods/selection Deprioritizer/Modules

If you change the order, don't forget to add the colon to the Deceiver line

I will upload this change as soon as I know how to without messing up the naming :)

For some reason double clicking the new unit category does not allow you to select them, even though box select works as intended (being able to select a mix of assisting and non assisting units if all of them are scouts or shields). I hope I can find a fix.

are you using other mods as well? Some of them do stuff like, on double click, select people who are assisting same thing as what you double clicked.

Yes, it is not related to Selection Deprioritizer.

I don't like the behaviour though, I cannot see how it is beneficial.

yo, love this mod been using it for a year now.
one thing i dont like tho. when i select with shift lasso it filters my selection, so there is no way to select all units.

any way u can disable navy land air sorting when i select with shift? special unit selection should stay i like that.

Some recent update seems to have broken the mod.
It randomly selects all units, especially if there is a lot going on.

The game becomes unplayable because of this.
Is there any way to fix this?
