So this is what you've been working on in your silence. Am I right in thinking this is a GUI-based campaign creation tool which uses existing maps?

Heyho...

I've got some questions about the install of the editor.

Put the file Episodes_Of_war.scd into your forged alliance gamedata folder.
you can put the Editor_server any where..

Put the .bat files in your forged alliance base folder.

you MUST start the Editor_server .exe before you start forged alliance.

You MUST start forged alliance with the supplied .bat file

Do I have to use the Supreme Comander - Forged Alliance Folder from Steam "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance" or the FAF version "...\ProgramData\FAForever\" ?

Placing the .bat files into the base folder doesn't work. I have to put them into the bin folder under ...\ProgramData\FAForever\ because the Steam FA version has no file called ForgedAlliance.exe

forged alliance MUST be patched to the 1.5.3603 (beta patch), i might allow the previous version
if enough people request it.

Where can I get it and how do I have to install it without killing my FAF install?

What is the difference between the Start CampaignEditor.bat and the Start Window Mode.bat?
What to do with the Forged-Alliance.ico?

After putting all files to my ...\ProgramData\FAForever\ folder I started the Forged Alliance - Editor Server.exe a short comand window pops up and closes instantly.

The log files says:
2014-06-24 21:07:38,769 DEBUG server.logging Start logger
2014-06-24 21:07:38,779 INFO miniserver.main Forged Alliance path could not be found

After this I started the Start CampaignEditor.bat a black window pops up and a debug console on the right side of the screen. After wating a few minutes it seems that the game is not starting properly. Certainly because the "server" is not running.

Hope you can help me bit :)

Hi,

I havent tested with the steam version, but i think it should work the same way.. as long as the steam version puts the fa path into the registry..

start windows mode just starts the game and debug log in windows mode.. (for scripting/modding) the other bat file is what you run after you start the mini server..

start the miniserver a black window will appear and stay on screen, it will say that it found the FA path and also the port it will listen on..
you can then start FA using the editor bat file supplied.. yes indeed the bat files go into the BIN folder :/ crete a shortcut to your desktop for the editor bat file.

ill make a quick video tomorrow :) showing what happens.

Thx for you answer.

So it seems that Steam is not creating the FA path in the registry. Can you give me the entry or the right value I have to add in the regirstry? Sounds like this will fix my problems.
