That mod has some texture rework, not all good IMHO (Isis for exemple doesn't look really good), but you may like it.

The problem is that the archive is 1.1go of data, while most the files in it are useless because untouched.

So I've repacked only the changed textures in a .nxt file you can put in "c:\ProgramData\FAForever\gamedata".
It's only 141 mb, but has all the changes. (lights effects are already in FAF).

If you don't like the terrain texture changes, you can delete the env folder in the file (it's opening like a zip file).

This just replaces what we already have correct? Not something everyone in the game must use?

It's really a matter of taste. I don't find some textures particularly effectives.

The firey mod add most of the effect, but it's too much for my taste too. I might enhance the missile trails and the ground explosions like that mod does, but not that much.

The .nxt won't mess with the game except for the visual aspect, while firey is a sim mod (it's included in the nxt file).

Hello,

In first i am sorry for my bad english.

That mod look really really cool (like RKS explosion for explosions effects..)

I want to ask to the FAF creator, Do you plan to integrate some new textures/effects in FAF? The actual shaders look allready really cool and better tan vanilla forged alliance, but we are in 2014 and if you can improve the "beauty" of the game, your comunity will be very very happy!!!

I really hope you plan to integrate some "graphics" feature in FAF.

Because the game is so cool, i cant find another RTS game cool like FaF!

The shaders are in FAF for 2 years already.

All the changes I wanted to implemented in FAF are implemented already. What is left is too over-the-top.

Yes the shaders of FaF are perfect but i mean some more effects like smoke effect, parrticles explosions effect, tactical missile smoke effect..


And maybe more specific faction destructions like RKS explosion mod? RKS can help gameplay whit specific faction explosions.

But RKS need some tweaks more because some effects are... too much. But i very think those mods can help eyes and gameplay.

So, you have no plan in future for implement somes graphicals feature?

FAF already has such enhancements, and I won't go further as I found firey explosions very distracting and over the top.

Yes you right, yesterday i try more firey and some explosion are very good, but others are very too much.

About something like RKS mod? Faction specific explosion?
