Search 'autoengies' in vault.
Makes idle engineers attack-move to nearest reclaim (roughly in ~50 pixels radius/around 25 seconds of movement).

Seems like there is no problem with mod.

It's actually worse that reclaiming manually because i can't reclaim 'biggest' rocks/wrecks with attack-move. But its better than not clicking at all.

"apm" stands for "actions per minute," which refers to the actions of the human player (not: the actions of the units in the game)

So even though regular attack-move takes longer to suck up the same amount of mass as manual reclaim, regular attack move takes less APM than manual reclaim.

"Automatic" attack move takes even less APM than regular (manually-set) attack move. This mod DOES reduce the amount of APM needed to play the game. Zero clicks takes less human actions than 1 click.

I'm not sure it should be banned from rated gameplay. Perhaps this mod, although it reduces APM, is still within reason. For example, there are mods that automatically start a t2 upgrade on every t1 mex and then automatically pause it. That reduces APM. But that mod is allowed.

Not every mod that reduces APM requirements will be banned. The administration has even adopted mods that reduce APM (right click to build storages around a mex, etc.). They should not make THIS mod part of the base game (because some people rely on seeing idle engineer notifications as part of how they play) but that doesn't mean it would be banned.

This is poor man's 'reclaim area command'. There is a mod for that as well, its implemented as 'game' mod. viewtopic.php?f=41&t=8471

No, you are misunderstanding that the modification needs to be distributed officially through FaF if it gives such an advantage.

I'm blocking this modification from the vault and ask that you do not further distribute.

it's a sim mod that allows you to draw a rectangle and do certain things inside of it (eg individual reclaim orders on all wrecks/rocks inside)

it's in the vault but you have to edit 2 values (that were changed in faf some time back) to get it to work

you cannot use it in ladder and global games with it won't be rated since it is a sim mod

any particular reason not to include it into ranked/global as a feature?

i didn't like this mod. would be great if you would press a hotkey and only then all idle engies would go reclaiming or at least have a toggle to turn thing on and off.
