Hi,

First off i'm clueless about modding. I don't know how to make one, i don't even know how already made mods work. I'm just one someone looking up mods in the vault, and using those i like.

I found a mod that allows to use Total annihilation music instead of SupCom musics during games. I wanted to know if it's possible to make a similar mod allowing me to put other musics. In this case, i wanted to put the musics from Emperor : Battle for Dune (specifically the harkonnen soundtrack) . If possible, i would love an option that allows to skip a music to go to the next one.

If there are people able to make it or to explain to me how i could make that mod (considering i'm clueless on the subject), i would be most grateful.

A good start would be to examine the TA music mod and see how they did it.
You do not need any programming knowledge to figure it out.
I am a lawyer for example, and using the "go and see" method learned enough to be able to create units that evolve into better versions as they kill enough enemies, and have custom abilities, auras, effects and enhancements.

It's really not that hard to figure out.

as well as my mod: "Survival Mayhem&BO balance"

This is not as hard as it looks but from the small trial I've done with the music mod changing I've not found away to skip songs as it is cue based

The TA music has 2 folders :
1)Hook -> lua -> Usermusic (file Lua) wich contains the following :
# List of battle cues to cycle through
BattleCues = {
Sound({Cue = 'Battle', Bank = 'TA_Music'}),
}

# List of peace cues to cycle through
PeaceCues = {
Sound({Cue = 'Building', Bank = 'TA_Music'}),
}

2) Sounds -> TA_music.Xsb (file Xsb) and TA_music.xwb (file Xwb)

How do i modify those to get the music i want?

Do i need to modify the hook (lua file) or just the sound part? And how do i change the musics in the Xsb/Xwb file (i don't even know how to open them, i'm that bad at modding T_T )

Hi! It's me again after some time. I managed to swap out the music from the TA mod to put the ones i wanted and it works in custom games but i can't get it to work in coop games i often do with my friends. The original TA mod is exactly the same, the only change is that the Xsb/Xwb files contains other soundtracks.

Do you guys have any idea as to why i can't get it to work in coop games? And do you know how can i fix it?
