Quick mod editing query.

Postby Ecthelon » 24 Apr 2018, 18:04

Right, so I have the mod "Unit Cap x4". What I want to do is make a copies of the mod for x2, x1.5 etc. I copied the file, and edited relevant stuff in the mod info and lua to make the x2 version. It was easy enough to understand, so I reckon that I made the correct edits to get the functionality I want.

My problem is that the mod won't appear in the ingame lobby. On the FAF hosting game popup it does appear, but enabling it will instead activate the x4 version ingame. I suspect that this is because the uid in the mod info file is the same. What should I do to make this work?

Thanks.

simply use different UIDs in the mod_info.lua file, that's how different mods are recognized

Oh okay. Can you just change it to anything? What are the restrictions on the uid format?
