Help with "range" and "rate of rate".

Hello!

I decided to modify the "range" and "rate of fire" of T2 Artillery Installation, but has no effect. The "damage", "health" etc... take effect when i change it. Only with range and rate of fire i have problem understanding.

I changed the range from 128 > 150. When i enter the game the yellow circle is bigger, but the arty doesn't fire at that range.

Similar with rate of fire. I changed from 20.00 > 10.00, but it still take 20 seconds to fire.

Can someone help me ? I'm new to modding and i feel bad for not understanding such basics things.

The T2 artillery as I recall is an energy weapon -- it uses energy to fire - and the rate of fire value is not quite so straight forward. The energy required to fire the weapon is drawn at a certain rate -- and that heavily influences how long the weapon will take to fire again. If you want it to fire twice as fast, you'll have to at least double the energydrain value or cut the energy required in half.

As for the range, this is related to muzzle velocity. If you increase your muzzle velocity you'll find that it will be able to shoot further. Be careful though, as you increase the muzzle velocity it will alter the angle of the barrel. Too much velocity and it won't arc the shell like it should -- so increase it by baby steps until it works.
