Reveal Positions

You have possibly seen this mod in petric's or blackheart's stream, i've decided to make it public and finally overcome my laziness to do so today.
Just download it from the FAF vault, enable it, and after 5 sec the panels of the player start positions (of everybody who's not in your team) will pop up. Clicking on the panels will remove them.




edit: i have no idea why the mod vault is taking a random icon from the mod, it looks so broken <3

Isn't that cheating? Especially in random spawn games, or random spawn FFAs; Giving you intel you would not previously have?

nobody bothers about setons players playing random spawns but checking positions via F11 (lobby position matches ingame army number), but a mod that does it it cheating?
maybe, but tbh i stoped caring

Since everyone can do it via the screen, its no more cheating than that.

But maybe we can make F11 the list have random order?

i guess it would be possible to remove the relation of army index and spawn position, which would result in the F11 technic and this mod stop working (which is a pretty good thing for random spawns)

yea a good bunch of mods is not visibile in the vault right now, until that's fixed you can manually install it:
- download the .zip from https://github.com/Bra1nwash3d/revealPositions
- extract the zip to your mod folder (usually C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods\)
- remove the "-master" from the mod folder name, and make sure that the path to the background pic is correct: /mods/reveal_positions/textures/bg.png
