Ingame Replay Stats Mod

Postby nine2 » 28 Aug 2015, 04:13

I am going to make a mod that shows ingame stats whilst watching a replay. Casters should like it. Feature goals include:

- showing actual mass income and reclaim income separately

- showing count of units on field divided by type (so counts for asf, t2 land, t3 land, t2 mexes) including mass value and perhaps different counts for total and just onscreen

- replacing the score panel. dividing players by team

- for each thing (mass/unit counts/score/etc) showing player value and team value

- ambitious but a graph of mass income would be nice

What other ideas are you interested in seeing?
Anyone want to help me make it?

- showing actual mass income and reclaim income separately

this will be good in game. Not only in replay

- showing count of units on field divided by type (so counts for asf, t2 land, t3 land, t2 mexes) including mass value and perhaps different counts for total and just onscreen

is it possible to just select units as observer? With double click 1 type of unit of 1 player

[quote]- ambitious but a graph of mass income would be nice [quote]
but in % to average mass income.
Cuz the graph after the game is useless - cant see the difference in the beginning of the game.

well my plan was perhaps only show the last minute or so of mass income - that way you can see the difference.

i also want to make my own build-order-score mechanism that rates how well you build. It could list how many pgens/facs/engies/tanks you have. The score would probably be determined purely based on how many facs you have (and for how long) but all the detail would be there too so if you are trying to understand and improve your build orders, you could see more info (how many early pgens and engies there are). I dunno maybe you can hit a button and it will save the build order as text using some notation... like:

ACU: L 2P 4M 5P A P P L P
E1: M M 10P
E2: M M
E3: Assist ACU

when you want to learn BO, would be nice to have name for first 10-15 engies

first engi would have name "1", second "2",....

so I would know which engi is which

show mass income / reclaim / team overflow
and for energy too
that for all players at once
else just all kinds of graph like hotstats, with a box where you can select which one you want to see

I'd like to see a large chunk of these ideas integrated in to or replacing the in-game score screen. I don't have anything to add but there's not one bad idea here as far as I can see.

Already in game, not available on replay though.

I'd have to agree. Some good ideas so far.

I believe currently in game it will show reclaim income and total income. I personally think it would be nicer the way Anihilnine said it, where it was reclaim income and base income. Figuring out your base income I think is more important than seeing the two added together, plus that's what the big number next to the storage bar is for, to see the net difference.

the stats I would love to see are veterancy and total kill counts per unit, so that we could see which units got the most kills t the end of the game
it would be nice to have a menu with stats at the end of the game
who have the most kills with acu, gunship, t1,t2,t3 land units, naval etc.
it would also be nice to show when that unit lived during the game
