Selecting idle mass extractors.

In the F1 keyboard shortcut binding dialog there is a binding named "Select nearest onscreen lowest tech idle mass extractor" which I would find very useful if I could get it to work. But it seems that no matter what I bind it to, with idle T1 mexes onscreen it never selects anything.

Does anyone else have problems with this keybinding or know how to get it to work?
