t2 mass fabs or scu ras?

Is it worth building t2 mass fabs (I see the templates used a lot in casts) or is it less micro intensive to just upgrade scus with ras en mass? Thanks.

I would say mass fab, since sacu need lot of time to pay for it self

SACU + RAS costs 6500, and gets +10 m, +1000 e.

To do the same with massfabs you need 10 massfabs, which have -1500 power. Then you also need exactly 1 t3 pgen so you are net +1000 power like a RAS SACU. Total cost is 4240.

So cost comparison 6500 vs 4240 for the same income. If the massfabs have adjacency to mass storages or t3 pgen they become even better, but SACUs are much safer, and they also have build capacity and a gun. If you take into account the cost of shielding the massfabs and making a few pds then the SCU is not looking that bad any more.

The risk of building massfab clusters is simply in no relation to possible advantages in costs.

But you also need to have in mind that sacu will start producing resources much later. You need to invest a lot in it to get something from it. Mass fab will start producing once you get your first built.

My Way to go is always: FIrst some Massfabs (mostly at some T3 Pgen farms, NOT my mexes because they get even more attractive then)
And when my Eco is stable I o SCU RAS's.

So I't a combinations of both.

If you're planning in the long run, sacu ras is the way to go. If you expect to reach endgame soon, massfabs are better. That said, I would start with massfabs that can get adjacency bonus, then switch to sacu farm.
