how to deal with destroyer rush on setons???

Hi guys,
Chasing some advice since i'm having a really noob run with FAF atm. I usually host Setons and often play beach, i was doing well until recently my opponents started early destroyer rushing.

How do you deal with this? build order...economy help...what units to respond with/build first etc would be great

Probably: harass your opponent before he can rush destroyers and make sure you can counter with your own destroyers (or be first with destroyers)?

Scout, when you see that your enemy is making destroyers, make frigates & destroyers. Don't just continue to eco blindly, then you will lose obviously.

Mmmm scouting seems to be a biggy, but what happens when I am only up to building frigates and i see a destroyer 1/4 built? haras the engineers is a good one....but lets say im noob and its built and on its way.....possible counters other than like for like? also how do they get em so quick? im talking 5-6 mins in...

You can kill a destroyer being built with your frigs by ground firing it. If it's on it's way it depends if you have enough frigates to make sure it has to stay at range while you build your own destroyer. If not you should ask help from your teammates I guess

Micro your frigates to dodge, and get more frigates & destroyers ASAP. You need to make sure that he doesn't kill your navy build capacity, because then it is over. You can also make a big hoverspam to keep him off your shore, and then maybe you have a chance to build navy again.

I would say there isnt anything like destroyer rush on 20 km map, and yes its all about scouting. If you find out there is a destroyer when it starts shooting at you, thats usually too late. This rush can be easily countered with scouting, pretty much as anything. When you see your oppenent is going for navy, start your own as well, hes upgrading to T2, do your T2 as well. Setons is big map so in time his destroyer arrives you have no problems finishing yours, maybe two. So to sum it up, its all about scouting.

Also a single destroyer should easily be taken out by torpedo bombers, gunships or even frigates if dodging a few shots. Moving zickzack with frigates doesnt need high skill, you can do that .
