I notice something good

Postby Circuit » 27 Sep 2014, 18:06

A lot of people dont like the t3 strat bomber from the cybran because they cant snipe t2 mex in 1 pass. You need 2 pass or 2 strat to do it. I notice in my last game with 2 strat, the first one hit the t2 mex with the storage. Few second after , the second strat hit the t2 mex to send it to oblivion but destroy the wreck storage. I denie around 700 mass with my second strat on each mex i kill!! T3 cybran strat isnt that bad....

Here my little tip from my experience

aren't all other t3 bombers do same thing?
so cybran is still kinda worst in that case?

imo cyb strat is good to kill t2 power ( can kill few in one hit) and just harras build power and best vs t1/t2/t3 land
arguably good against support commanders since cybran one is hardest to dodge

Cybran main assault units are the worst in large scale war, therefore their support units (mobile arty, strat bombers, t1 arty, t2 static arty) are designed to be low damage, but to soften up as many targets as possible with their large AOE and in the case of the medusa stun effect. If you have 5 bricks vs 5 percies, the percies win, but a strat bomber would be able to hit all 5 for the Cybran, and that softening blow would allow the bricks to win. I doubt the UEF strat bomber would have a wide enough spread to easily hit all 5 marching bricks. The Trebuchet also has enormous AOE that does damage to large swaths of high tech units.

But the other t3 strat can kill a t2 mex with one bomb. I have the habit to send 2 cybran strat (that mean i have to invest into 2100 mass) If i can destroying storage with my second one (+-700 mass) with my second bomb... Ma ratio mass(unit) vs thing destroy got a little better. 4200 mass for mex sniping operation i found this a little high but if caculate i destroy mass on the field, this is a better investement in this case

This was only my point only share my double strat operation on mex....

It still would matter, though, if one accepts that 2 bombers to kill the mex and the wreck is a better idea than one to kill the mex. In that case, all races are almost on equal footing for killing mexes.

Also, even if you don't accept that, it matters because it means that cybran isn't as much worse as it would be if two bombers were required to do the exact same job as one bomber from the other fations. Two bombers to kill the mex and destroy the wreck is about as valuable as 1 bomber to just kill the mex... so then they aren't that much worse.
