Combined attack

Hi everyone,

how do you manage a combined attack move, so that all used (different) units attack at same speed?

You need to do a formation move, right click and hold, until a formation appears, then let go of the button. Now all units will gowith the speed of the slowest one. However, I would not reccommend doing that, since that makes attacks REALLY slow compared to normal ones.

but ofc.. if you move and attack in a formation you achieve higher unit efficiency and it actually allows you too do some cool things with it.. Its like A moving without being so vulnerable to arty

I know, I said I would not use formation move personally.
On a side note :
Do attack - moving units move with the same speed?

if you select wide spread units u get the effect that they get in formation first and then move (some units actually move away from the selected moveorder first to group)...that can even more slow down your movement. In this particular case i would do a move order first and then the formation move (both with shift in a row).

The problem is that we get only 80% of the unit speed...

You can also use Ctrl+right click.

I (1200) use it sometimes when I want to cross some distance with an army under stealth (with a stealth boat, monkeylord, etc.).

Never did. Makes sense when i hear it.
Have you sometimes had positve results doing so?

I usually use it just for defense organisation. Its crucial to face the units in the right direction.
