Really hard to get going in FAF.

Alot of your players are not new player friendly at all. Constant booting from teams when you try to get a game going. Taunting from players because of their nation. Why do you have flags showing where people are from anyway in the game lobby? Seems that ping is plenty enough information. I get tired of Europeans making fun of Americans in the game or saying stupid stuff like, shitty yank because I'm new. Its really just a terrible experience for new players here. I hope it is not affecting the growth of the game.

welcome to FAF!
I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I actually find the FAF community mostly very friendly and helpful.
If you're getting kicked from custom games make sure you fit the rank in the game title (e.g. >500). Most people like to play with other players with a similar rank as themselves and specify it in the game title.
If you don't find a game fitting your rank, you can always host one yourself or play ladder. Be also sure to check out the various guides (forum Help me I'm a newbie ! or tutorial tab of the lobby)to get going if you're new to the game.

Regarding the flags, they are nice for players from smaller nations to find someone to chat with in their own language, someone who is in the same timezone or just to say hi. I also find it very interesting to chat with people from other countries.
Most people appreciate this feature. On the other hand it is known that some might kick solely based on location, so thats a definite drawback.
So it might be removed in the future...

If anyone is being disrespectfull/rasist to you ingame you should pm a mod so they can be banned .

The beginning is always a tough time. I know it is hard but trust me after few dozen of game you will enjoy the depth of sc. We got few trainer around and if you want i can play with you to buid your basic game (eco few trick around) just pm me

I understand you. Started paling SupCom a month ago, maybe two. Didnt have the most friendly start. Look on bight side isnt the LoL community and there for 4 years I saw and heard everything. Ignore trolls that is the best tactic.
