Can someone explain civilian shields ?? (explained)

I died sat under a t3 civilian shield on Kazaam and dont understand why.

I can understand getting bombed in the face sat under the enemy shield as its their technology so would let their own ordnance through, that i can live with. But why do civilian shields let bombs through !?

only 9 mins long but what the.... !? Can somebody explain the mechanics of civilian shields as i feel this is a bug.

As civs there are neutral, they will neither shoot nor protect you. Just like you can shoot through your allies shield you can shoot through civ shield there. Keep in mind though that this is only the case on Kazam usually civs are enemy.

I understand now Thanks to The_Koopa, Vee, and Blackheart-

Neutral shields are neutral and allow all bombs through, but hostile shields block enemy bombs.

Lesson for today: You are not safe under neutral shields, it would have been better to capture the powergens and shield and then i would have been safe.
