so...just for my knowledge,how are you meant to be playing FAF?
i barely just downloaded this,i rocketed through the game campaign a million times,got bored of it and my friend told me of this FAF thingie
so far,i joined about 4 rooms,i got kicked out of every single one for no reason
how are you meant to be playing this FAF thing...?

Best is to create your own game: "double click on Forged Alliance" on the left side ... or join a game (under find games tab) with "noobs" in the title.

I would definetly go for 1v1 Matchmaker !

I would start with the 1v1 matchmaker and dont worry about losing your first ten games as the system needs to learn your skill level to match you against equal skilled players. After about ten games you will get more evenly matched.

and people kick you as you are new and they dont want to lose a team game because of you. Unfair maybe but thats reality.

first couple of hours in this game...and all i have to say is...
who's the bloody idiot that coded this matchmaker?
cant really call him anything else short of an idiot
first game fought a 800 rating player
second one a 1400 rating
third a 950
fourth a 1000
and so on and so on
haven't seen even one person to be under 700 rating
FAF seemed interesting at first
but now?it feels like horrible programming is in place designed to help the older players while completely ignoring the new ones
really feel sorry i downloaded it,horrid waste of time

It matches you with higher rated players at first, because it doesn't know how good you are. After you play for a while it will match you with players of your rating.

And Zep has put alot of work in. If you can program in better...its open source, go ahead.

See i even went to FAF and had a look in your replay vault, after that, i dont really feel like discussing because there is nothing to discuss, you get the message at your first ladder game, if you dont understand trueskill rating then learn about it, rather the making some disgusting talk on the forums. Join all wellcome games or noob games. There are lot's of them out there or host your own games.

You should probably not call someone an idiot when you are unable to read a simple popup stating clearly that your are matched randomly for your first games in order to evaluate your level.
