Rating reset

Hi, I've had my rating reset to nil and I have no idea why. Someone on the chat mentioned "smurfing" as a possible justification but I'm not even sure what this term means. If it's about changing identities in FAF, that can't be right as I've always played under my nick "DrGang" ever since FA came out years ago. I've never been accused of cheating and never did so it HAS to be a mistake or a bug.
Right now, this is making my life miserable because I'm kicked out and when I play with noobs, it's unfair on them.

Could I have my rating of about 980 back ?

Some people were abusing highly imbalanced maps and had their rating reset. Not sure you were in that case, but it could be it.

Whatever the reason was, you are not getting your rating back as it was a punishment.

Ok well you are misinformed, I have always been a fair player and you have made a mistake. I know my playing habits and I am certain of that.
For instance, I NEVER host games (this is probably something you can find in your logs) so I can't have done what you mentioned.

well consider yourself coleteral damage then, it sucks i would be pissed too, blame those who created those maps

(but honestly 900 isnt very high so it should be easy to obtain back, i was forced to play a U300 game on FAF first too because they wouldnt let me into higher games, guess what it didnt end very good for them, just host an own game if you are kicked from other people like to bash "noobs" and it's even better to bash them then)

Thanks for your appreciation on my rating :)

Sure it's not high but the number of games played was an argument for me. Or, to be more specific, a seemingly short gaming history is a liability to join/not be kicked of some games.
