rushing tac missile upgrade?

It is a common occurrence in games to have people rush the gun or t2 upgrades on the com, but is it a realistic strategy to try and rush the tac missile upgrade instead? Or better just to get t2 then build a static launcher?
Also is the restoration field upgrade actually ever worth it?

I don't know about most others, but you do need some form of t2 before tac whether that be an engy or your com. The power requirements to get that upgrade and to build the missiles is quite large, so unless you have a lot of overflow from team mates you will stall pretty hard on t1 eco. Additionally, the t2 ACU builds missiles significantly faster than the t1 does and so you don't have to assist it to spam out a good amount of missiles.

Generally I go t2 first, and then you can get your next upgrade faster and can make more use of it.

As for Restoration field, it's very well worth it but only with t2 units or higher, especially Ilshavoh and Destroyers, or naval units in general.

Restauration field is good but requires some love in terms of attention ingame, and we all know that attention is a rare resource

as for the TML rush: i've seen it, but it's a bit of an all-or-nothing tactic: it can wreck enemy teams or wreck your eco, it is viable, but it is dangerous and normally T2 first is the better option as with the extra energy you can build more missles faster

Early TML upgrade is generally only worth it in team games, since there people eco a lot so you have a lot of t2 mexes/power/upgrading coms to shoot, and there is always one guy who forgot to have TMD for those targets.

Yes TML can be devestating, just saying that it's very risky t rush it, because it takes such a lot of energy early on which puts you on the backfoot
