Base game running

So please excuse me for this post as I`m sure I am not the only one that asked this but the suggested way of creating an executable for the base game will not work. Is there anyother way? I mean it works only on the campaign mode but I`d like to practice some more skirmishes and I can not add any A.I.`s.
