'Lo from the UK!

Postby lor91 » 08 Aug 2013, 18:28

Hey guys, I very literally stumbled on Supreme Commander when watching vids for the Planetary Annihilation Alpha, considering me and my dad used to play total annihilation constantly (when I was what... 10 maybe?) I can't even begin to express how much I swore at my screen when I realized there'd been two bloody (spiritual) sequels that I'd missed! Anyway, I've been playing SupCom a week or two now and after watching a few vids online I saw the link to this place. Can't say I'd be much use online yet (haven't finished campaigns + still learning to skirmish against hards without getting stomped after an hour or two) but I thought I'd pop my head in and say Hi since I'm hoping to find a few people to play with once I've got my skills up to scratch. If there are any other newbies who'd like a game sometime let me know, my steam user is mockler91 and I've got a private vent server. GL and HF dudes.

Welcome to FAF. We are actually considerably active all things considered. Another thing too is that the AI in this game really isn't up to standards of online play at all. So no matter how much practice you do you're gonna get crushed your first few games. The best thing to do is just play some online 1vs1 then watch the replays of you losing and see why you lost and how you can improve. And as you probably already know, play on FAF, not Steam. ;)
