cybran navy

Postby Circuit » 02 Jun 2013, 03:48

I analyze all the navy. T1 look fair to all... When I regard T2 naval the cybran have a great one (with the uef because of the shield). When the sea war reach t3.... the thing begin to get awful... the galaxy is like a super destroyer mix with a cruiser. He does a various of descent job but not exel..

The cybran nation have no hover to renforce the navy

So less hp and less fire power but it cost 1000 mass and a little less time to building it. So i can build a mermaid for stealth (600 mass). Maybe a baracuda (1100 mass). So for 1000 mass, how can I reforce the galaxy to make a even figth vs other t3 navy

Make sure to use the T2 stealth boat to stealth your T3 battleships. That way the enemy ships can't utilize their full range.
Also don't forget that the T3 battleships from the Cybrants is cheaper than the battleships from the other factions.

Check out this video from 28:00 onwards to see some nice Cybran T3 navy play:

There is no basic ratio. It depends on what your opponent is building. You need to build more of what your enemy has less defenses for, without crippling your navy balance. Example, you could go all t2 subs and have a pretty good chance of killing the other guy's whole navy. But if your opponent has ANY brains at all, he will build a bunch of coopers as UEF or torp bombers as the other factions and then you are dead in the water.

Honestly, Cybran has the weakest late game navy. There is not really a good way around that. The Cybran race as a whole is designed to hit fast, soon, and as hard as possible. Cybran has the strongest frigate and frigate AA in t1, has the best destroyer (some might say seraphim, but that takes a bit of micro and a good head) and as a whole the strongest t2 navy. You need to get to t2 as soon as possible if you are not frigate spamming, and then you need to take the fight to the other guy. DO NOT PLAY DEFENSIVELY. Force the fight to stay in t2 as long as possible and try to win at that stage, because if you do not you have even less chance of winning later. If you want to have a strong t3 late game navy, play UEF or seraphim.
