Hey everyone,

rather than just uploading a replay, I thought it would be a good idea to offer a POV video. Hopefully it enables you to offer more precise criticism.

Unfortunately I've only got a video of the first 6 minutes on Twin Rivers since my opponent had to leave.
I'm aiming to release a longer video later or at least one which shows some mid/late-game play.

I'm especially interested in feedback regarding engineer usage.

Swim in the sea of mass that he sends you.

And T1 bombers. Since I started using air more - T1 spam doesn't bother me that much.

Alparius gave some solid advice.

Normally you should be spamming T1 units as well at the beginning of a 1vs1 to counter his spam and secure your side of the map.
If it's clear that you are going to lose the spam war, here are your options:

1. Retreat to ensure all the battles happen on your side of the map, making it easier to reclaim the wrecks. Use the reclaim to build more units or upgrade your mexes and then go for T2/T3.
2. Use bombers if your enemy hasn't focused on air yet. Don't rely on them for long if your enemy has a better economy than you do.
3. Make sure your ACU stands at the right spots and give him a gun upgrade or go T2 engineering suite and build T2 PD.
4. Ragequit and play Starcraft instead.

Mostly what kurbain said, allow him to make all the aggressive moves, play a cautious reactionary game and make sure all the fights leave the reclaimable mass on your doorstep.

Capture all the mass and consider investing in mex upgrades over map control.

Concentrate on counters to t1 spam - t1 bombers, t2 land units, t2 pd, t1 pd, and maybe a gun or t2 upgrade for your commander.

4. is not an Option! I hate starcraft. I hate rage and I dont quit!
3. i make often both upgrades. First gun making some vet then returning home upgrade t2 and building some pd/tmd/air/shield defence while healing. then i return to fight. OC first enemy t2 units. To find the right spot is difficult in open maps.
2. i can use t1 bombers with success only against weaker opponents.
1. thats a point. i mostly win if i can use my acu effciently and thats only possible on maps which are not so open. In my last games i won my ACU had 100+ kills.

I feel like there is some trick to using PD's that I haven't figured out yet and why I didn't mention it. Could just be that some players knows how to attack them and others don't.

Not enough experience from my side to talk about it's uses much. It's topic that is way more complicated than just surround them with walls as the usual advice goes.

Now the bombers, they force the opponent to react - he will redeploy his forces once you attack him or he will lose them. Even if he send a air wing to deal with it, it disrupts his game. Or he stops his current spam order and puts more AA in it. All outcomes are favorable.

I don't really agree there - if your bombers doesn't work it's becasue you lost air and your screwed unless you pull something amazing off in the next couple of min. If you lose air it means you lost the eco race also.
