How setup survival games?

Lo all,

Just won forged alliance and dipping my toes into the wonderfulness that is FAF.

I really fancy a go at the survival game but dont know how to set one up. I found some survival maps in the map vault, downloaded them. But then I'm stuck. How do i get a simple `me vs ai waves` game going?

So i got as far as starting/hosting a match, changing the map to a survival, and launching with just myself as a player and sandbox mode.

My ACU spawns and then I cant control it. Or anything. Weird......

No, its just that can cause the glitch you talking about

no sure what you mean usually you leave everything on standard settings
sometimes there are additional setting below the normal settings for the difficulty of the survival
also some survival maps are broken (like suprem art of defence)
use for example the maps:

Waves of Death (solo/vs, classic)
Desert Swarm (team, all sides)
5th Deminsion (team, classic)

I tried out 5th Dimension a while ago.
For that map, you just have to launch a game normally, choose one of the first four slots and fill the 5th to 8th slot with AIs.
If you want to have a rush timer, make sure not to use the normal rush timer, because then units will still spawn but not move and just pile up, causing a lot of lag.
The map has its own rush timer. Scroll down in the settings to find them.

You can use mods when playing the map. I had no problems using Black Ops.

I hope it works the same way for other survival maps.

Look in the map vault. Search for any of the maps that Sheppard posted.
