How much (if any) does FAF overwrite the default/mod stuff?

Postby Kel » 20 Oct 2012, 00:13

I've got the steam version of FA, and have downloaded (and edited) dozens of mods, and I recently found this... my question is if any of the downloads related to this (e.g. playing a BlackOps game) will overwrite any of the stuff I already have? i.e. is playing a BlackOps game on FAF going to download and overwrite my own copy of BlackOps, or will it see that I already have it installed and use that? (And presumably subsequently crash because I've edited it from the original)

Or does it download it all to a different directory? Just wanted to check before I ended up overwriting something I've spent hours on.... :P

Hopefully that was clear. :)
FA is good rts, but Tribes: Ascend is a good fps:

I believe FAF takes a non-disruptive branch off the base install.
