Use map editor's Symmetry feature other than at map center ?

Example if I want to add a landscape with a symmetry design (eg. a "n" to a "m") at one of the map's corner, can this be done ?

So far I know how to do the symmetry design only at map center.

Has anyone try out the export ? Eg. start a new map then do the symmetry design at map center then export it out to the current project map but place that "import" (Heightmap) at one corner of the currrent map. Is this possible as I don't know how to import onto other area of new map.
