Where to find latest patch for Forged Alliance?

Hi everyone,

I am running the retail version of Forged Alliance and managed to update the game to version 1.5.3599. However, at this version there still occur bugs. I am currently playing the campaign (as UEF) and I noticed, for example, the the T3 Battlecruisers never hit anything - their plasma beams just have no effect.

In the wiki of forged alliance forever I have read that there are many updates beyond that, and I suppose this bug probably is being solved in one of them. However, I couldn´t find any place to download the latest patch. Can anyone help with that? Thank you.

You need to install FAF client, instructions here: http://wiki.faforever.com/index.php?title=Setting_Up_FAF
And then play the campaign from our Coop tab.

Hi, I did as you suggested, but I am facing some problems:

- how can I see the intro-videos before the missions?
- I can´t find my savegames, and for that matter, I don´t know how to save a game - there is no save button in the list.

To be honest, I´d prefer to apply these patches manually to my Version of FA and play without this program FA Forever. Is there a way to do that?

well first of all: FAF is a multiplayer lobby.

Coop is a feature to play the campain together with other players (the missions are harder) but it comes at the cost, that the introvideos are not played before the game. This is sad, yes, but since this entire lobby (including the patches) are programmed from voluntary community members... well better than nothing I think.

Save games are also not a supported function. There was a debate about this on the forum here, maybe you can find it with the search function.

yes you can apply them manually, each version of FA is available on github. https://github.com/FAForever/fa/releases
but it is by far easier to do it by just hosting a game. You can still play offline by starting supreme commander via C:/ProgramData/FAForever/bin/ForgedAlliance.exe
this will also allow you to save your game. When you play offline via this shortcut, you can use all features and improvement that FAF introduced. However starting it offline will not trigger the "update game" cycle, so in order to keep your game up to date, you should start the online version from time to time and host a game.

hf here on FAF and maybe try playing some multiplayer games with us. It is much more fun than only killing the AI.
