[Help] Lost DVD, only key... Download possible?

Hi Guys,

my Supreme Commander DVD is lost, i've got only the dvd-case and the keys.
It is possible to download SupCom and FA anywhere and then register this download
with my keys?

My Version is very old, i guess about 8 years.
Steam does not accept the key.

In steam, click on Add a game in the bottom left

Then click on activate a product on steam

Enter CD key

Profit

It should accept the CD regardless

Just to point out. Supcom and Supcom FA are different games.

And since you only seem to have 1 key, you should make sure you're trying to get the correct game.

Posting for anyone else who looks at this. Any supreme commander or forged alliance cd key should give you supreme commander gold edition on steam(both games). If you have both keys you could give one to a friend.
