Multi-player Timeout after 16 to 20 mins?

Postby CodeJohnny » 14 Feb 2016, 01:54

Since the move to the new server, we are seeing an issue where I play a multiplayer game with Friends, and one of my two machines will cause a timeout, but not until we're always at least 16 minutes+ into the game. The machine are on the same Lan, using the same, IP externally, so not sure if this is a proxy issue, or hosting server issue. Not a lot to go on other than it only started after the move.

One machine is using port 6112 (the default) the other is using 6113, because I noticed the recent patches reset those, so that's not the issue, and have setup necessary port forwarding on the switches to deal w/ this.

Any ideas what else I might be able to dig into to figure this out?

Thank you much for your time,

If I remember correctly SupCom does not like it when 2 people are on one connection. Not sure why, or even that this is accurate xD

I'm gonna go w/ "no" on that one, been using FAF for years w/ no issue. This is not a straight game issue, this is after the server move a couple weeks back.

I'm trying to trouble shoot via command line, but seems the FA Forever lobby serves up 2 listen ports, the game connects to those locally via loop-back. The game plays completely fine.. after X amount of time, THEN there's an issue. So I'm "assuming" proxy is coming into play and gives up, or routes bad.. still not a lot to go on yet.

Thanks though,
