IDEAS? My sound isn't working, my head hurts... [SOLVED]

So, my speakers play everything outside of the game. When I launch the game, the pregame lobby makes no noises and when the game launches, there's no sound.

I have reinstalled the game, FAF, hell I even bought new speakers. If I play Supreme Commander FA by itself without FAF, sound works great. The weirdest thing is, if I restart and use headphones, they work. Speakers won't.
What. Is. Going. On.

I haven't had any issues until I updated to this newest patch. I don't think that's the issue, but that's the only change I've made. Thoughts?

Make sure your pc sound is set to 16 bit 44.1k stereo because supcom does not support 24 bit or 96 or 192 k or surround.

Another issue I've had in the past is when I updated .net crap from MS, might have to uninstall an update or roll it back. Seems to break sound sometimes.

wat i had a couple of weeks ago seems to be the same

mumble changed the volume of FA in the mixer to 0
i noticed that afther 3 days
i thought my sound was broken but its yust the mixer
( mixer right lower corner of the home screen of pc )
