I am trying to understand the rating system and how it works.
Unfortunately the Wiki is a little confusing on the subject.
The following two statements are from the rating section in the Wiki:
A players' score depends on his in- game performance; good performance leads to increased rating, while poor performance causes a drop in rating.
Your rating increases when you win a rated game, and decreases when you lose a rated game. This is the only thing which changes your rating - in-game performance has no effect.
Can someone help me understand? I think the punchline is that the rating system only takes three things into account; your rating, your opponents rating, and who won.
