Anybody having an opinion yet? Gameplay videos are on youtube... imo it looks really sluggish. And the UI is overly large too. Not as bad but most RTS, but still to large. And the units only have very short attack ranges, which I always find a turn off.

Also, the aesthetics... it almost looks exactly the same as gray goo. The color palette, the effects, the UI. All so very similar.

Yea... dunno. I also don't understand, why they ave no full strat zoom. Because, with the zoom there is you can see the sharp map edges like in SupCom. So having no strat zoom cannot be there to hide the map's edges... why then not have a full fledged strat zoom??

I am working on a play through and full review of the early access version for Friday, and to quickly summarize it is the single most boring RTS concept I have ever seen in my life. This game is terrifyingly dull in color, character, and in actual gameplay. I don't know if it is salvageable :/

Too bad really. One RTS after the other that looked like it could have potential disappoints.

I dont like the look and feel. With the new engine it should look far more more realistic...units and buildings look is comic style while the terrain is more realistic...that doesnt fit at all.....when I saw PA the first time i thought...well they gonna work at the look of the explosions....finally...they didnt. I think the same is happening here. Artpeople have to do a lot more work to make it look cooler and feel more agile.

Does anyone else out there kind of not want another RTS to be good? I feel like it would kill FAF, then die itself. And nothing would be left. Or maybe I'm a touch dramatic.

Or maybe Supcom 3 will come out soon and kill everything

I agree. But FA has some fundamental flaws that won't ever be overcome (like pathfinding).
