I played it a bit just now.

1st impression is a mix between SINS and SupCom.

Some familiar maps, but under different names is: Setons, Palms and Fields of Isis.

I think they stole one of Blodir's maps also, or the other way around.

Don't have time to really play test right now. Will update thread later.

Cool, I want to hear more ^^ Which map are you speaking of? I doubt they'd taken inspiration from any of my maps but that would be cool!

They are still undergoing major transitions.... I don't think we should take anything away from alpha play at this point. The eco, mechanics, and UI look pretty solid though. Currently in the alpha there is no strategiz zoom, but that is coming in the next update. There is literally no micro though, you pretty much just throw units at each other. It is so early though, with so few unit types, that it doesn't really make any difference.

Well, as early in the build as this is, it is obviously not going to look very finished xD

They are still finding the direction of the game. I am actually pretty psyched about it though, because the devs have FINALLY given up on ability based units with manual triggers and mini-map based game overview. Strategic zoom is in, and manual abilities are out. Those were literally the only two things giving me second thoughts abou this game.

You have to get DX12, which means Windows 10 and spyware. No thanks

It's also looking terribly bland in terms of unit design and gameplay. Hell, at least Planetary Annihilation tried something new.

Also, lmfao at people preordering a Bethesda game

Works with DX 11 also on a geforce 660....

it's looking bland because they have not started with the art yet, that comes much later. there is factions still being developed also. Currently there is a thread going around how economy must work.
