So I figured I'd introduce myself here and how I found FAF ^_^I've been a long-time lover of RTS games, but never been very good at them, but I always have a lot of fun when I play, so that's always the important part. After playing C&C Generals for many years, I discovered this title called Supreme Commander. The back of the box had everything you could ask for in a game--robots, lasers, and epic scenery
Only after actually installing it did I realize that it was an epic scale combined arms game! All the better, in my opinion! 
Several computers later, I'm no longer able to play SupCom (good laptop broke, cheap laptop for the interim didn't have the system specs), but I discovered Gyle and his casts, and the rest as they say is history.
Purchasing FA via Steam on the Humble Bundle sale, finishing building my computer, and getting my butt kicked in a few online matches has led me here.I'm reading through the newbie forum and finding several helpful tips there, for example the explanation of "build templates". The problem with me is that I have less of a "knowledge base" and more of a "knowledge mountain range"
For example, I know how to set up, assist, and use complex ferry routes, ghetto gunships, and all kinds of fun tricks with assisting that many newbies don't, at least from how your tutorials seem, but I'm no good at micro, APM, or eco-management. I'll ask my questions there of course--just wanted to say hi and let Gyle (and everybody else) know they have another convert!
