Units not shooting each other (maybe a wine problem)

Hi im new to FAF and have a problem with units and defences not shooting anything when playing against the AI. First of all id like to let you know that the reason im posting this in the off-topic section is because i am using WINE on linux and i might possibly be related to that. Anyways whenever any enemy units or defences come is range none of the units fire. They do sometime get one shot off but i does not do any damage. I did notice that i can see the yellow projectiles while using the strategic zoom and the get frozen in the air. If anyone one has had the problem or has any idea what is causing it, it would be extremly helpful if you have any ideas. :)

First off, are you using any mods?

Second, try switching on the console window (there should be a page on the wiki somewhere for how to do this) and see if some errors pop-up (I guess it will).

Okay thanks man! :) glad you replyed. ill let you know it this works :) Oh and no im not using any mods but it does the same thing weather or not mods are enabled.

Nothing in the console. (im leaving for vacation on saterday feel free to post suggestions while im gone :D ) back now.

I get the same symptoms.
Also using wine.
The vanilla FA version works fine, but in the FAF version, the units won't shoot.

I get these exceptions in the game log :

From what little i know of LUA, it seems like a broken inheritance hierachy.

Are you also getting a "desync detected" message? i am also getting that.

in Faforever/bin/init_faf.lua, line 63:

change this line:

mount_dir_with_blacklist(fa_path .. '\\gamedata\\', '*.scd', '/')


to:

mount_dir(fa_path .. '\\gamedata\\*.scd', '/')


than it will work.

sadly, everytime you try to launch a game via faf, this file gets overwritten...

i cant seem to find Faforever/bin/init_faf.lua. i went to file:///home/sage/.wine/drive_c/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Forged%20Alliance%20Forever and got lost t.here
