I never had problems with supcom, it worked flawlessly. Pretty much all of my games, which worked on W7, have worked on W8 too. There is only one program, which didn't work for me in W8, so I was forced to use a VM for it. However, that program is pretty obscure and most of you probably won't care about it anyway.
I like the system for its new and much improved task manager, and much improved explorer (folder explorer, not IE).
Performance? Pretty much the same as W7, and it takes about the same amount in RAM too.
