For reference, I went from an i5-4670k to an i7-4790k (found one on eBay refurbed for $200) and the improvement in using OBS for streams while playing supp comm, having photoshop open, like 20+ chrome tabs, some music, etc etc was amazing.
Battlefield 1, I was seeing frames drop to 20-30 during large explosions and with the i7 it stayed above 60 at all times; that is what I mean by frame stability, Koppa. It's quite worthwhile if you have hardware like I do where a GTX1080 needs to feed a g-sync monitor to keep 60+ fps.
