See AotS was dead to me the second they completely refused strategic zoom. THIS, on the other hand, could be it. The next RTS. The big one. The successor to all that FAF is. Homeworld was and is a legend of the genre. This could be epic.

Is anyone playing the Homeworld HD remake? I def want to pick it up at some point and give it a whirl.

The explosions were pretty epic in those and the inclusion of all six races is pretty slick.

Finally watched the entire video...

For starters I'm quite happy that it is not a Kickstarter project and due to that the advanced math and development for things like the "weighted camera" tell me that they are going to make a very polished and smooth-playing game.

It's no wonder they haven't mentioned anything for years as they clearly are passionate about their work and want to do something that brings RTS to a level above Supp Comm.

The lack of a "commander" makes me upset but maybe there will mod tools that can bring Supp Comm models in and we can keep the community going based on that :)

Love it, butch3r

I have the remastered edition...its not really worth it.

Shipbreakers on the other hand is one of the games I'm really waiting for. I hope it's not yet another disappointment. But all I saw up to now...it looks very good.

The baserunner seems to be a very important unit...maybe it's a commander like thingy

What are the factions? Obviously the "Mothership" is being replaced by the giant sand-crawler-like carrier. I'm assuming killing that will end the game.

I didn't see any structures so I'm guessing this will be a 100% unit-driven game - disappointing...

Graphics and interface look really cool, though. Maybe it can be modded and made into FA? I really would like to see a modern RTS engine used to make FAF rather trying to update the 2006 one...

About two weeks until release... Not that much info for a game that close to sale.... odd...

Interested but being patient...
