Phantom X 1.8 testing and feedback

Installation Instructions:

Extract the "Phantom-X-Test-v1.8" folder to your FA mods folder. If you dont have a mods folder yet, create it. (See http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?t=33684)
Example: C:\Users\#Your_User_Profile_Name_Here#\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance\Mods\
Do not put this .zip file in the mods folder.

Known Issues:
Several players have reported problems getting custom mods to work with pirated versions of the game.

Removal Instructions:
Delete the "Phantom-X-Test-v1.8" folder from your FA mods folder.


Changelog:
- Marking: both Phantoms receive a mark, which when used on a paladin will permanently remove the paladin bonus. The mark can only be used once. Using the mark costs a lot of mass,
with the cost starting at around 4000k at assignment, and going up continuously throughout the game until it levels off after about one hour
- Volunteering: after the public vote on the number of phantoms, there is a second, private vote in which players can choose to volunteer to be phantom.
Volunteering does not guarantee a phantom assignment, but it increases the chances significantly.
- Phantom and Paladin bonus numbers are only updated every 30 seconds
- integrated auto nuke ping mod

1.8i had modpath in phantom.lua referring to 1.8f. I uploaded a fixed version, with an updated readme file. One thing we should not forget for final release is finally rewriting that FAF lobby tooltip for Phantom X. The typos are bad enough, but what it really needs is a reference to Paladins.

Not sure if this is from updates, but I saw "vote" in the error and figured I'd let you guys have a look see. Error started appearing today during game.

I don't know if I'll be able to help on that one much or not. We haven't changed the "vote" code in this version. We added the volunteering code, but it's separate.

Can you tell me anything more about what was going on in game when it crashed?

Also, is that the log from the replay? Because in that case, it is probably useless.

It is not the log from the replay. It was in phantom game, as I right clicked to have my engies move the error message popped up and game went black.

Bug: Using the mark is still possible after death.

Bug mark sometimes does not appear.
Intentions for modification of next season of ladder

Only one Phantom in the game receives a mark. That is not a bug.
