But only sometimes. 1 of 4-6 games this happens after player dies or quits.

Hmm. The lack of consistency of this problem makes it harder to diagnose.

May I ask that you post the replay of every game that DOES hang/crash after a player dies or quits, and tell me roughly what the in-game time was when this occurred, and post the log.

If this request seems excessive, do understand that the inconsistency of the problem suggests that it has a complex and non-obvious cause. Further, I do not know what the cause might be, and I need as much information as I can get from you to potentially solve the problem.

Hi,

acutally me and my friends, we have the same problem. Actually, in most of our games, we get this problem. Might not occur when killing the first or second ACU but it happens. If there is a way to help trackdown that problem, we are eager to help.
The game gets stuck asap when the ACU gets killed, no time for a nukeexplosion or anything. We all have to use the taskmanager to kill FA.

I am using the Steam version of FA and I checked my FA Lobby Folder, no error logs, nothing.

Ok, it happens every game now...and it is not only me. :(

It happens when an ACU gets killed, but I could happen when the 2nd or 3rd one gets killed, or a player leaves the game, cause he lost. :(

I checked the FAF folder, no error log there.

Hi, and another game, this time it got stuck again after the first ACU died...the game was still responding for the other players though, my ping went higher during my freeze...doubled...from 300 to over 600...since we waited for 2 min, suddenly the game moved on again and we could play it till the end.

I also tested a few games against the AI, same result. If however I play and get an early victory, there is no freeze at all...this only occurs for longer games and only on FAF, Steam is working fine.

Again here my replay and logs...

You seem to be able to reproduce the bug quite easily. Are you available this afternoon for some testing ?

Hmm. Taking a look at this log, your game clearly does not freeze or crash on ACU death because 2 ACUs died separately from each other.

I am prepared to guess that there are two essential problems contributing to your issues. You probably have a fairly weak computer, so the combination of a bug that will be fixed in the next version (Gamecolors.lua) and the very high density of particles created by ACU nuclear explosions, are probably what are causing your issues.

Try turning down your fidelity and tell us if you're still experiencing problems. We'll fix the other issue in a patch soon.
