GPGnet problem after FAF install

Postby aimnkill » 14 Jan 2012, 00:11

Hi,

I installed FAF since then when I host a game at gpgnet I have a bug, the game doesn't end (yes I have assasination). The units don t die with the commander and the game doesn t end like in a sandbox game.

Any help?

Thx

Im not sure but FAF supports unit numbers that gpg doesnt. 125, 375, 625 and 875 unit limits are not supported by gpg. Im not saying this is the cause but it could be something to check. Make sure when your hosting a gpg game that the unit limit is 250?, 500, 750 or 1000.

Can't be that because it's re-translated to GPG numbers (except if you go beyond 500 in FAF, then you will have a interface problem in GPG).

Other than that, FAF doesn't alter any file from GPG install, so you should look in the GPG forum.

Hi,

the problem only appears when I host the game and it appeared the first time exactly after I updated FA during the FAF install.

You have to give me logs (you have to set /LOG switch in GPGNET, can't show you how, I don't use it anymore).

No, FA ones. You have to use
/log "log_file.log"

as command line parameter (in preferences).

You have to use a not protected path, like

/log "c:\IcanWriteHere\log_file.log"

The error come from here.

It seems that some files are hooked.
I'm pretty sure it can't be FAF files (.faf), or you will have a desync.

Can you list the files in your gamedata folder, and also the SupComDataPath.lua content in /bin folder ?
