Not a problem right now : if you use your account on another computer, that computer will be "enabled" with your account and the others disabled.
The risk is to forget to swap two accounts, leading to one of them deleted :
- computers A B C D.
- Accounts 1 2 3 4.
first login :
A 1
B 2
C 3
D 4.
Now, if 4 want to play on B, B will be registered in the DB instead of D.
But if 2 try to log again on B, the account 4 will be desactivated.
So you need to be sure that 4 log again on D before, or 2 must log in D.
That's the process for now.
Of course, that's mean that anybody can log on another computer and bring back that account on their main. As long as they carefully swaps the accounts, they can freely smurf. Of course, there is the danger of forgetting to swap correctly and badaboom.
- I can limit the numbers of changes per account (my idea was 2 changes before requesting a manual reset)
That will be a problem in your case.
If anyone has a better idea that can solve this special case...
- Maybe reset the changes over time ? What is the frequency of these accounts swap ?
- Or, maybe a better solution, if you are over your changes count, I can disable global ranking for that account when it's not used in his "main" computer ?
Maybe a combinaison of these two solutions...
