cant join/host games

After my hard drive died, I reinstalled windows/fa/gpg and FAF.

Installation goes fine, it updates the lobby but when I join a game I get

UpdaterServer... The connection was refused by the peer.
Updater... Cannot connect to central server. Please contact an admin.

Windows firewall is off. Router firewall is off. Pc is in DMZ.
FA is patched to 3599.
Have reinstalled FAF.
Replaced the .lib file

If I close the update window, I can return to chat but typing is VERY laggy.
When I close the program there is still a process running FaLobby.exe in windows task manager.
Windows is up to date.
Have restarted my router.
My ip is still the same.

i have the same problem at the moment but i didn´ installed something new. I was only not online some weeks in faf so that my fa maybe isnt up to date.

The log file of the updater server was full. It's solved now.

There seems to have been a few issues along these lines with other players. Were they (spindrah for example) having the same issue as me, or was it something else. The only reason I ask this is because I messed around with my router for ages ( connection refused by peer suggests firewall issues to me ) and reinstalled everything when all I had to do was wait.

BTW, cheers for fixing it quick.

The update server was off, so it's impossible that it worked for anybody.
