Unable to change game options

When hosting a game, I am unable to change the game options.. ie maps/mods/unit restrictions because my ok/cancel buttons are not working. I managed to fix it yesterday be uninstalling faf/fa and reinstalling. It is broken again today. Im wondering if other people have this issue and weather there is a fix for it besides the whole re-install saga.

Symptoms.
It only happens in faf games.
The ok/cancel buttons make required sounds when mousing over or clicking.
The other buttons in that lobby work... unit manager/maps/mods

It's almost like there is an error on the page and it wont let me leave until its sorted...

Must be a mod or a map conflicting with some lua code from a FAF patch..

its not just limited to faf i seen this on ggpnet aswell.

Only way i know of is uninstall and reinstall

I have this problem as well and previously solved it by manually going into the game and changing it to default settings (unselecting all mods and selecting an official map - then go online). However now that doesnt seem to fix it either
